Steve Fraser, a partner at Monahans Chartered Accountants, has just been appointed to the Main Committee that runs the Faculty of Information Technology of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

The ICAEW is a professional membership organisation, supporting over 130,000 members and the IT Faculty exists to represent chartered accountants’ IT related interests and expertise and to contribute to IT related public affairs, as well as helping accountants, and anyone else in business, to keep up to date with IT issues and developments.

Steve’s appointment to this influential body is a reflection of his expertise in IT, along with his experience as a chartered accountant. He is responsible for IT Strategy at Monahans and has advised many of the firms’ clients on IT matters, which puts him in an ideal position to benefit the accountancy industry as a whole. Steve comments “This appointment is a great honour and I am really looking forward to helping resolve industry wide issues and to assist others in the profession in making the best of their IT to the eventual benefit of business and the wider economy.”
