Cotswold House in Gloucester Road, Malmesbury has been sold as a business investment unit to Wiltshire County Council, to operate their youth community centre from the facility. A figure near to the guide price of £396,000 was achieved on the property comprising approximately 4,229 sq ft, to an undisclosed private investor.

Paul Whitmarsh, partner in charge of the industrial agency department of Whitmarsh Lockhart commented: “Well let investment properties of this nature remain popular, even in the difficult economic circumstances. Tenants such as Wiltshire County Council are seen as a very secure form of asset.

“The property holds a prominent location onto Gloucester Road and adjoining the Co-Operative supermarket, centrally positioned within the town.

“There are a number of private investors that are very active in this sector at the present time and are always looking for other investment opportunities.”
