Swindon law firm Withy King’s team of clinical negligence specialists have achieved top rankings in both the South West and the South East in the latest edition of Chambers and Partners – an annual, independent guide to law firms and lawyers operating in 175 countries.

Key individuals singled out for praise include Simon Elliman, who heads the team and is well regarded for his handling of cerebral palsy claims; Gerry Ferguson, who has a diverse practice spanning GP negligence, urological, gynaecological and psychiatric claims and Paul Rumley, who focuses on negligence and funding claims.

Tracy Norris-Evans, whose expertise spans clinical negligence and personal injury matters, has experience in brain injuries and paediatric cases in particular.

“We are pleased to be ranked among the top firms,” said partner Simon Elliman, who heads the clinical negligence team at Withy King, which has offices in Swindon and Marlborough. “We have developed a strong reputation for our work in the field of clinical negligence over the years.

“The merger with Oxford firm Marshall & Galpin in 2008 has enabled us to build our practice still further and take on an increasing number of complex cases from across the UK.”

In addition, Chambers and Partners UK highlighted the expertise of Withy King’s racing and bloodstock team, who also achieved the top ranking, as well as the firm’s personal injury, family, private client, employment, agriculture and rural affairs, corporate, dispute resolution, real estate, construction and intellectual property teams.
