International property agency JLL has made two director-level appointments that will bring a new breadth of expertise to its South and Wales region residential development services team.
James Petherick has joined as director of residential development, having been an associate in rival GVA’s Bristol office for almost 10 years.
Chris Dadds arrives as a director in the planning team, specialising in residential planning advice, and will be based in Bristol and Exeter. He joins after nearly six years at Peter Brett Associates’ Bristol office, where he was a senior associate.
James specialises in the sale and acquisition of residential development land and advising developers on the financial viability of housing projects.
Chris will be offering strategic planning advice to developers and landowners, seeking the allocation of land for residential use and securing planning permissions.
James said: “This is an exciting opportunity for JLL to build on its already well-established planning, valuation and investment expertise to develop a stronger residential development offer.”
Chris added: “I’m looking forward to working closely with James and other colleagues to bring all these services together so clients can benefit from a seamless and co-ordinated approach.”
Together, they will cover the South West and Wales from JLL’s network of regional offices in Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter and Southampton.
JLL has made five other appointments in its Bristol office. Two senior surveyors, Daniel Milford and Henry De Teissier, have joined the retail and industrial teams and Vicki Baker has joined the property and asset management team as a graduate surveyor.
Meanwhile, Tommy Thompson joins as an associate director in the project management team while the healthcare team welcomes Greg Boast as a new surveying executive.
JLL South and Wales region lead director Simon Peacock said: “We strive to offer the best service to our clients and our growing team is an outward sign of this success. We are looking forward to broadening our services and offering clients this deeper residential development expertise that James and Chris bring.”
