Swindon-based recruitment firm Aligra has appointed Jeremy Barker to the newly created role of operations director.

Jeremy, pictured, has worked for Aligra since 2011 and, as head of executive and professional recruitment, played a critical role in driving its growth and service delivery along with the overall excellent performance of his division.

Aligra, which supplies clients in the transport and logistics, technical and professional sectors, said the role demonstrated its ongoing commitment to improving contract delivery, quality and innovation.

Managing director Mark Neilson said: “This new role is in recognition of Jeremy’s excellent contribution to the company’s outstanding performance in recent years. He’s certainly key to our future growth and will be heavily involved in our plans for expansion of his division.”

Director Terry West added: “We’re delighted to confirm this appointment. Jeremy brings a wealth of industry experience and will strengthen the board to achieve our future expected growth.”

The appointment comes after Aligra, based at Groundwell, posted record financial results showing a 128% rise in profits last year. The firm has also recently confirmed significant investment in staff training and industry leading software.
