Serviced office provider Regus is to open a second centre in Swindon – and its first in the town centre – in a move it says reflects a strong local demand for flexible, cost-effective workspace.
The 10,500 sq ft base will be set over two floors in Wiltshire Court, the recently refurbished office building in Farnsby Street which is also home to Forward Swindon.
The centre will offer a range of flexible working options for businesses and professionals including co-working space, meeting rooms bookable by the hour, more than 40 individual offices and virtual office services.
Its central position means it is in walking distance of Swindon railway station and close to the Brunel shopping centre.
Regus operates more than 380 sites across the UK, including its centre on Swindon’s Windmill Hill office park.
UK CEO Richard Morris said: “Swindon attracts a diverse range of companies which are attracted by the town’s strong economy and excellent transport links.
“Our growth and investment here is testament to increasing demand for flexible places to work that offer a productive environment for business people to touch down, meet, co-work or base a business.
“Our Wiltshire Court location will be an exciting addition to our network in the South West, providing a new centrally located business base with convenient access to the rail station. We expect strong take-up from local small businesses, start-ups and remote workers as well as national firms opening satellite offices and global businesses establishing a footprint in the area.
“As world leader in flexible workspace, we are committed to continually expanding our network and making business easier for our customers.”
No date has been given for the new office.
