Each week Swindon Business News gives a prominent member of the town’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week Heather Angell, founder of Your Planning Angel, answers our 10 questions.
What was the LAST:
Film you watched? Captain America Civil War. After a really busy wedding season it was great to take a few hours out and completely loose myself in a world of superheroes!
Book you read? I absolutely love to read and often have two books on the go! The last book I read was The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. Managing a growing business and making time for everything else in my life can be a challenge and this book has a great system to find the right balance.
Music you bought or downloaded? Christine and The Queens. I often drive back from weddings in the small hours and this is a great album to listen to in the car.
Concert or play you went to? I took my eldest son to The Santa Claus Show last December at the Swindon Arts Centre
Sporting event you attended? I attended the London-to-Brighton Ultra Marathon to cheer on my husband who was raising money for Help for Heroes.
Holiday you went on? Summer Holidays are a rare luxury when you’re a wedding planner but last year my husband and I did manage to take four days out in Dubai which was wonderful.
Restaurant you ate in? The Grosvenor Arms in London with some fellow wedding industry friends.
Thing that annoyed you? My children decided to ‘decorate’ their playroom by painting the walls every imaginable colour with their arts and crafts kit. That wasn’t the best start to the weekend!
Thing that made you laugh out loud? The best man’s speech at my last wedding was absolutely hilarious. He was a natural performer and had the guests and I in stiches.
Piece of good advice you were given? My business coach told me to try keeping a bullet journal. I love tech but found skipping from one app to another for all the various commitments I was working on was not working for me. The bullet journal has been the solution and I love it!
