National property agency Cushman & Wakefield has expanded its South West office by appointing specialist surveyor Steve Puddicombe as senior director.
Steve joins the project management & consultancy team in Bristol from JLL, where he led the Bristol building consultancy team for five years – a role he also performed at King Sturge for a decade prior to its merger with JLL.
During his time at JLL Steve acted for clients including the University of Bath, Rio Tinto and Legal & General as well as Honeywell Aerospace in Yeovil and brownfield redevelopment projects in Cheltenham and Taunton.
Having developed a specialism in the student accommodation and education sector – advising clients on new build schemes, refurbishments and transactions – Cushman & Wakefield says Steve is ideally placed to advise on education expansion plans in the region. He will also bring his expertise to bear on technical appraisals, feasibility studies, valuations and all other aspects of building consultancy for a wide range of investors and occupiers.
Steve Puddicombe said: “I am very excited about the opportunity to join the Cushman & Wakefield team in this growth phase. The project management & consultancy team in Bristol are highly skilled and experienced surveyors and I look forward to working with them to expand our service offering and market share.”
Head of Cushman & Wakefield’s Bristol office, Tim Davis, added: “We are extremely pleased to bring on board someone of Steve’s calibre and reputation to take forward our project management & consultancy business both here in Bristol and throughout the South West.
“This is a key role in our ongoing plans to capitalise on growth throughout the region whilst also providing new specialist skills to both existing and future clients.”
Cushman & Wakefield’s project management & consultancy team employs 200 professionals in nine regional cities across the UK. They deliver a comprehensive service covering project management, building consultancy, building engineering services, cost consultancy and interior design.
In 2015 the team surveyed 93m sq ft of buildings and delivered £322m worth of completed projects.
