WED2B, one of the UK’s largest bridal wear retailers, has opened a store in Swindon.

The 8,800 sq ft open plan unit at Plaza 21 was previously occupied by hi-tech start-up Rota-Motus, which closed in February.

The Swindon office of regional property agents Alder King, acting on behalf of retained clients, has now re-let it on a new 10-year lease.

WED2B property director Peter Aldridge said: “Plaza 21 provides a fantastic opportunity for us to secure good quality retail accommodation close to the main town centre retail area and ample car parking.

“We have been surprised by how quickly we were able to agree lease terms and take occupation of the property, allowing us to continue with our expansion plans.”

Fast-growing WED2B now operates from 13 outlets across the UK, with further stores due to open soon. It originally started as the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet in Leicestershire.

Martin Baker of Alder King said: “We are delighted to have concluded negotiations with WED2B and welcome them both to Swindon and Plaza 21.

“The transaction was completed within a very tight timescale and is a good example of both the landlord and tenant working together to achieve a successful outcome.”
