NatWest has appointed Andrew Houchin as director of commercial banking for the North Wiltshire and Bath areas.

Andrew, pictured, who spent six years in the Army as an Infantry officer, joined NatWest’s parent company RBS in 2011 as a programme manager, overseeing a £2.4m data distribution programme designed to support the improvement of the bank’s customer engagement processes.

He then went on to become sales management director for RBS’ corporate team in London, where he worked on maximising the effectiveness of customer engagement, before his most recent role as head of customer experience delivery for the South West of England and South Wales.

In his new role he will lead a team of seven relationship managers providing a range of financial advice to 500 commercial customers across Bath and North Wiltshire with an annual turnover of £2m-plus and lending requirements of more than £500,000.
