Luxury kitchen and bathroom firm Hobsons Choice has won the prestigious 2016 BKU Bathroom Showroom of the Year Award for its Swindon showroom.
The firm was presented with the award at a glittering ceremony staged in London’s iconic Globe Theatre.
The showroom at County Park on Shrivenham Road, was established in 1977 and has since been identified with high-end kitchen, bathroom and interior design.
It also acts as head office for the firm, which operates showrooms in Bath and Winchester.
Managing director Richard Carter said: “This is an unexpected, and welcomed, pat on the back for the business.
“It is a great privilege to have been recognised for all of the hard work our team puts in everyday, especially amongst such a respected group of finalists from across the UK.
“When we set out to refresh the bathroom show floor with 13 separate room sets it was a step towards a new way of presenting cohesive bathroom layouts. The spaces are separate, different in style, and, we feel, relate more appropriately to the size of bathrooms our clients have at home.
“Of course, a showroom isn’t just about the display of physical products. The Hobsons Choice design consultants are a highly talented team whose expertise, knowledge, creativity and customer service are industry leading.”
Launched in 2015 by Bathroom & Kitchen Update magazine, the BKU awards recognise the top retailers, brands, people and services in the industry.
Privately owned Hobsons Choice provides a high-quality design and installation service to clients across the UK.
