Each week Swindon Business News gives a prominent member of the area’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin.

This week Kim Masterman, strategic business manager at Field Recruitment, which specialises in commercial and professional recruitment, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (my children’s choice naturally!)

Book you read? The Girl on the Train.

Music you bought or downloaded? I Cry When I Laugh by Jess Glynne.

Concert or play you went to? Jessie J supported by Lawson. It was fab! But now I am feeling like I should get out more and go to see someone I listen to now, not from three years ago.

Sporting event you attended?  My children’s school sports day – supporting the sports stars of tomorrow!

Holiday you went on? A long weekend away to Bournemouth with my partner – no children so buckets and spades were left at home.

Restaurant you ate in? The Red Lion in Cricklade. Best fish and triple cooked chips around.

Thing that annoyed you? Burning my second slice of toast this morning when I was already in a rush.

Thing that made you laugh out loud? My son asking me what prison food tasted, like over dinner last night. As if I would know!

Piece of good advice you were given? Don’t spend time worrying over things you cannot control. But my most favourite advice is: be happy, treat others as you wish to be treated and be thankful for what we have. Always. (I tell myself these daily to keep a smile on face and an eye on what I really have around me.)

Kim Masterman has been in recruitment for most of her career, other than a short break to have a family. She has now moved into a business development and client-facing role for Field Recruitment, where she is responsible for acquiring new business and retaining client accounts. Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, keeping fit and trips away. She loves to explore new places and things to do – particularly eating out and finding fun activities to do with her children.
