Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is to be the headline sponsor of this year’s South West Expo Business Breakfast.
The event, which is expected to attract up to 250 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), will be the opening event of South West Expo, the business show which takes place this Thursday, June 30, at Swindon’s STEAM museum.
The breakfast is traditionally one of the most popular features of the show and will provide an opportunity for the LEP to meet owners, directors and other senior decision-makers from Swindon and Wiltshire’s thriving SME business community.
LEP director Paddy Bradley said: “One of our strategic objectives recognises the need to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses as well as attract a greater share of foreign and domestic investment into the area.
“Sponsoring the pre-Expo breakfast provides us with an excellent opportunity to engage with many of the region’s SMEs and show them what we as an organisation can do to support their growth ambitions.”
The LEP also has a stand at the main Expo, one of more than 80 exhibitors at the event which also includes seminars, workshops and high-profile keynote speakers.
The Expo is the result of a merger between Swindon’s two annual business events – Business West’s Business Show Swindon and the South West Expo.
