Swindon copywriter Angela Atkinson will tell businesses how blogging can raise their profile at a breakfast networking event in the town later this month.
Angela, pictured, who runs AA Editorial Services, has built up a significant following with her blog Born Again Swindonian. 
She will speak at Swindon Business Village’s meeting on June 23. Compulsory early retirement at the age of 53 sent Angela into a tailspin – one that she turned to her advantage by seeking new opportunities and experiences.
In that spirit, she embarked on full-time degree studies a year later at UWE in Bristol. In the summer of 2014 she emerged with a BA joint English hons degree 1st class.
Angela has taken that experience to forge a new path with AA Editorial Services and her Born Again Swindonian blog.
Her presentation to Business Village is called ‘I wrote a blog and I liked it. How writing a blog about Swindon gave me a public profile and why blogging could do the same for your business or organisation’.
Business Village meets each Thursday for breakfast and networking at The Campanile Hotel, on the Delta Business Park from 7.30am-9am. Meetings are £10 to attend but there is no membership fee. To book, visit www.businessvillage.org.
