A mixed-use scheme on the outskirts of Swindon is now fully let for the first time following the arrival of local removals and storage company A Luckes & Son.

The firm has taken the last available unit at Berkeley House on the South Marston Business Park. The large building was originally part of the Vickers aircraft manufacturing plant on the site. While it has been updated in recent years to provide modern business accommodation by its private owners, it has never been fully let.

Family-owned A Luckes & Son, which undertakes commercial and domestic removals across the UKand in Europe, has taken the 10,699 sq ft warehouse to supplement the storage capability of its existing facility at Marshgate Industrial Estate.

It said it selected the Berkeley House unit for its strategic location with easy access to the A419 and M4, flexible accommodation and competitive lease terms. Among the building’s other occupiers are serviced offices provider Easy Offices.

Martin Baker of joint agents Alder King’s Swindon office said: “It was a pleasure negotiating the lease of Warehouse 2 with the tenant. We’re confident they will be excellent occupiers for the building and wish them every success with the expansion of their business.”

Alder King acted jointly with Swindon agents Smethurst Property Consultants and Loveday.
