Director of Swindon transport business Akcess, Mark Kennedy, is swapping his bus for a motorbike and crossing Europe for charity.
Mark, pictured, will be travelling across the Continent for two weeks from June 25 with the aim of visiting as many countries as possible.
The co-founder and managing director of the Elgin-based community interest company is funding the trip himself and seeking sponsorship in aid of Cancer Research.
“Everybody is touched by cancer one way of another, so I wanted to do something to help such a great charity,” said Mark. “On my list are France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia, Italy and Switzerland. Depending on fatigue and weather, I am hoping to do more.”
Akcess has more than 100 vehicles, around 150 staff and operates nearly 100 school contracts for Swindon, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire councils, as well as day centre transport contracts for Swindon.
