The successful Business Showcase South West returns tomorrow to again celebrate the best of the region’s innovation, creativity and enterprise.

The event, the largest of its kind in the South West, takes place at the newly redeveloped Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol, meaning it will be even bigger.

Delegates from Swindon and Wiltshire are invited to attend for free to take part in expert-led workshops, seminars, networking and keynote sessions on Tuesday, May 17, from 10.30am-4.30pm.

Keynote speakers will include Wing Commander Andy Green OBE – the world’s fastest man and driver of the Bloodhound Supersonic Car – who will talk on leadership, the mindset of success, facing the challenge of breaking the near-impossible sound barrier . . . and what businesses can learn from his experiences.

A full-sized model of the 1,000mph jet and rocket-powered car will also be on display.

Other keynote speakers will include Judith Levy, business leader and former CEO of High & Mighty, and Professor Dimo Dimov, one of the world’s leading experts in entrepreneurship.

There will also be around 150 exhibition stands and the event offers free parking.

The event is sponsored by NatWest & Worldpay, Enterprise Car Club, University of Bath School of Management: Executive Development, Corporate Traveller and Bath & Bristol Audi.

The Showcase was founded by Bristol-based entrepreneur and broadcaster Jamie Breese, who said the event would be a superb opportunity to connect with many great businesses – from global brands to SMEs.

“I want the Showcase to be a business-packed experience that delegates will feel compelled to stay at all day long.

“Our delegates enjoy a free event, multiple and useful seminars, expert workshops and inspiring keynotes which help solve the problems and challenges in today’s business world.

“I expect delegates from across the region who will see this as THE stay-all-day, must-go-to, business-driven networking mega-fest!”.

The first Showcase took place in April 2014 and welcomed a sell-out 91 exhibitors, more than 1,700 free ticket registrations and great business networking opportunities.

Top CEOs from across the region attended a drinks event and delegates enjoyed inspiring keynotes including a speech from Baroness Brady CBE.

Bristol Sport chairman Martin Griffiths said: “We are delighted to welcome the Business Showcase South West to Ashton Gate this year.

“The £45m rebuild will be completed in the summer and once finished it will be the largest conference and events venue in the South West of England.

“I’m pleased that BSSW has chosen to host its showcase event here at the stadium and we look forward to welcoming Jamie and his team.”

Chief of stadium operations Mark Kelly added: “As we complete the rebuild we plan to establish ourselves as the go-to venue for leading businesses in the South West.

“The BSSW is firmly established as a premier business exhibition to attend and it is great that we’ve managed to attract Jamie and his team.
