Digital communications manager appointed by Brunel Shopping Centre

Swindon’s Brunel Shopping Centre has appointed Jordan Day to the newly created role of digital communications manager.

Jordan, pictured, will be responsible for managing the centre’s digital marketing and social media activities and will work closely with its marketing team. 

The team works on behalf of the centre’s retail tenants and is responsible for staging events, activities and promotions to raise the centre’s profile and attract shoppers to the town centre.

The 555,000 sq ft Brunel Centre occupies over more than of Swindon town centre’s retail area has 100-plus shops, cafes and restaurants with anchor stores including House of Fraser Outlet, Boots, Marks and Spencer and Sainsburys.

Centre marketing manager Jane Stewart said: “We’re delighted that Jordan has now joined the team and has already taken over managing our social media and digital communications channels. 

“We’ve just launched a new website and our reach with social media is improving all the time, so Jordan’s excellent social media and digital knowledge and skills will be invaluable as these methods of communication become even more prevalent.”

Jordan previously worked in digital communications roles at Swindon College and SEQOL, the Swindon-based social enterprise specialising in health and social care.

The Brunel is managed by FI Real Estate Management and is the only covered shopping centre in the town centre area.
