Swindon’s Designer Outlet has attracted world-leading audio technology brand Bose, which opens its store in the retail centre on Saturday.
The 1,563 sq ft unit will offer consumers to the chance to buy Bose’s audio and loudspeaker systems at a fraction of the retail price.
The Designer Outlet centre’s 123 stores typically offer brands at discounts of up to 60%.
Bose’s product range includes headphones, Bluetooth speakers, home-cinema and SoundTouch systems. The new stores will create six jobs.
Centre manager Tina Cumpstey said: “The new store accompanies the already outstanding home line up at Swindon, which includes John Lewis Home Outlet, Le Creuset and Portmeirion. We will continue to build on our portfolio of home brand this year.”
The Designer Outlet was opened by specialist developer McArthurGlen in 1997 in buildings that made up part of Swindon’s former railway works.
A second phase was added in 1999 and a third last year which increased its retail space to 250,000 sq ft.
McArthurGlen continues to manage the centre, although it is now owned by TH Real Estate within its UK Outlet Mall Partnership – an investment fund in which McArthurGlen has a stake.
