Packaging firm GWP Group has boosted its management team with the promotion of Lisa Tate to the newly created position of commercial manager.
Lisa, pictured, is now working closely with Cricklade-based GWP’s customers and suppliers to oversee the development of new ideas and introduce new products.
Lisa joined GWP, which manufactures a range of cardboard boxes, protective cases, inserts and packaging, in 2008. She has since worked in many areas of the business, gaining knowledge and experience that will be invaluable in her new position.
Managing director of GWP’s Correx division, Ian Cook, said: “This is a strategically important move for GWP and Lisa’s appointment means that we are now in a better position to develop products to meet the ever-evolving needs of our customers.”
Lisa’s promotion comes at a time of sustained strong growth for the business, which last year celebrated 25 years in business and its strongest-ever trading results.
The firm, which has a sister plant in Salisbury, employs more than 100 staff, has 500-plus customers and a £10m turnover.
Its five divisions – GWP Packaging, GWP Protective, GWP Correx, GWP Conductive and GWP Coatings – produce industrial packaging such as corrugated cardboard products, bespoke protective cases, foam inserts, ESD (electro static discharge) packaging and the specialist coated and reusable ‘corrugated’ polypropylene packaging Correx.
