Swindon-headquartered personal injury law firm Novum Law has opened a base in Hereford – the second new office to be launched since the start of the year and its first in the Midlands.
Headed by Swindon-based partner Huw Ponting, pictured, who grew up in Hereford, the office marks an important milestone in the firm’s strategic development plans as its growth continues. In January it opened a flagship office in Southampton specifically for people affected by asbestos-related illnesses.
Huw and his team of personal injury lawyers specialise in high-value, complex cases, representing individuals and their families whose lives have been turned upside down after being involved in serious accidents.
He is a renowned expert in helping people with severe traumatic brain injuries and is acknowledged in the legal sector as a leading practitioner in his field with a wealth of specialist knowledge in brain injury claims worth many millions of pounds.
Huw said: “The launch of our Hereford office is an exciting development for Novum Law, ensuring that more people have access to specialist personal injury advice and expert legal representation.
“For me personally, it is extremely gratifying to be returning to my roots to help local residents and their families who, through no fault of their own, find themselves struggling due to a serious, life-changing injury.
“Novum Law is committed to helping and supporting people in Herefordshire and throughout the Midlands and the South of England. It’s not just about winning compensation but helping them to access specialist care and rehabilitative support to make their day-to-day lives easier.
“We are looking forward to being part of the business community in Hereford and growing our business and expanding our team in the future.”
Novum is a sister business of M4 corridor law firm Thrings and specialises in serious injury, clinical negligence and asbestos-related disease claims. As well as Swindon, it has offices in London, Bristol, Bath, Salisbury, Plymouth, Reading, Southampton and on the Isle of Wight.
