Swindon’s small and medium-sized businesses will be able to exchange insights and experience at an event being staged by Vodafone at its town store next week.

Called Expand-In, it will provide a platform for local businesses to network and share best practice on overcoming any business, digital or communication challenges.

Businesses will also be able to seek advice on issues such as upskilling themselves and their employees on digital and how it can be used to develop more effective content marketing.

There will be tips on how to engage with customers better and how to take greater advantage of opportunities from emerging technologies.

Vodafone UK, has recently announced a multi-million pound investment to extend 3G and 4G mobile coverage to more than 98% of Swindon’s population.

The event takes place between 6.30pm and 9pm on Wednesday, March 16, at Vodafone’s recently improved Canal Walk store.

Sharing their expertise and insight will be:

-            Tom McLoughlin, Vodafone UK head of SME, who will explain how the local market can be leveraged to encourage further growth

-            Gavin McKelvie, owner of Great Western Hotel Swindon, who will discuss how technology has been used to grow the business and make it more agile and cost efficient

-            Paul Stamp, digital marketing manager for SME at Vodafone UK, who will provide tips and best practice on how to develop a content marketing plan

Expand-In is part of a series of similar events taking place across the country over the next year. Drinks and canapés will be provided by a local catering business.
