Medical and surgical devices supplier Vygon has raised £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, the charity chosen by its customers.
The Blunsdon-based firm asked customers which good cause it should support in its annual survey, which gives it essential feedback on how they view the business and its products.
Vygon is the UK’s leading supplier of high-quality, single-use medical and surgical disposable products such as catheters and feeding tubes. It is a major supplier to the NHS.
Marketing & communications manager Katie Kingston presented a cheque for £1,000 to Steve Goodrick, Macmillan fundraising manager in Wiltshire.
Katie Kingston said: “The feedback we get from our customers is really important to us so that we can make sure we’re giving them the excellent levels of service they expect from Vygon.
“We had a great response and we wanted to show our customers that we appreciated them taking time out of their busy days to help us. They all work within hospitals and healthcare so they have a great understanding of charities and how they can make a real difference to patients, including their friends and families.
“We are delighted with their choice as we’ve supported Macmillan for many years. It was a great pleasure to present the cheque to Steve and hear more about the fantastic work Macmillan does in providing all kinds of support – both practical and emotional – to people affected by cancer.”
