Larger office accommodates care group’s expansion plans

Care-at-home company Bluebird Care Swindon has doubled the size of its office to herald future expansion. The firm, which has been operating since October 2011, employs more than 45 staff and is recruiting more people to meet demand.

Bluebird looks after more than 100 people in their own homes – largely elderly people or adults with disabilities who need support to be able to live independently. Its new 700 sq ft base on Groundwell Industrial Estate is double the size of its original offices in Churchward Place.

Managing director Ben Curtis, pictured, said the move gave the business more room to accommodate the central office team needed to run the operation, as well as more storage space.
“We are growing rapidly, we believe thanks to our reputation for providing good, old-fashioned care at home,” he said.

“The majority of our customers are private clients, and we would like to help many more people but we needed the room to accommodate an increase in staff numbers.
“We now have more than 45 people on the team and we are recruiting, but although we have plans to grow we will remain an independent company, which is what enables us to provide a really high-quality, tailored service.”

Bluebird Care Swindon is one of nearly 160 franchised Bluebird Care offices in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
