Swindon recruitment firm Field has invested in its offices to create a dedicated town centre venue for job-seekers and give the business space to grow.

Field has closed one of its two branches in Commercial Road and relocated all back office staff to a new base in nearby Milton Road.

At the same time the company, based in the town centre for 40 years, has invested in upgrading its remaining Commercial Road premises to make it a dedicated centre for job-seekers.

Field service delivery manager Emma Ryder Said: “Our staff were spread across two premises and each branch had a mix of customer-facing and back office staff.

“So we have restructured our company, relocating back office functions – such as payroll – to new premises in Milton Road and concentrating all our client and candidate-facing staff in one place, in Commercial Road, so they are able to provide a better level of service.”

Field is currently recruiting for its own staff, and the restructure will give it room to expand.
Emma added: “It has always been very important to us to have a high street presence, so this reorganisation enables us to improve our facilities while still retaining two locations in Swindon, albeit with just one open to candidates and clients.”

Independently-owned, privately-run Field Recruitment and has been supplying permanent,
temporary and contract staff since 1974. The company is a long-standing member of the industry’s governing body, the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC).

The Commercial Road office that has closed was at number 14 while the office that has been upgraded is number 119.
