Swindon-headquartered specialist recruitment firm Outsource UK has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of sales director Mark Harris.
Mark Harris, pictured, who joins from global recruitment consultancy McGregor Boyall, will be responsible for expanding Outsource’s client portfolio in the financial services and defence sectors. He will be based at the firm’s London office.
Outsource chief operating officer Nick Dettmar said: “Mark has a strong track record of business development in the financial services and engineering sectors, both of which are pivotal in our growth strategy.
“Mark’s experience at McGregor Boyall and prior to that at Elan (now Experis) coupled with his in-depth knowledge of these specialist areas means that he is ideally placed to lead this growth.”
Harris joins Outsource at a time of significant expansion for the company. The firm was set up in 1991 by Paul Jameson and now has offices in Manchester, London and Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, as well as its Swindon head office in Churchward.
It is now one of the UK’s largest independent IT and engineering staffing businesses, working with clients across the UK and Europe, supplying contract, permanent and interim staff for IT, financial services, engineering and defence firms.
It employs around 60 people and has an annual turnover in excess of £40m.
Last year it was praised by a leading industry analyst as having one of the best growth records of any IT recruitment business of recent times.
M&A specialists Boxington’s managing director Tim Evans said: “Outsource UK’s track record is unrivalled by any IT recruitment company. The fact that its growth has been achieved by a mix of organic growth and acquisition is a further accolade to the management and employees of Outsource UK“.
