Recruitment firm C&D Group has opened the first of its new flagship recruitment centres on Havelock Street in Swindon town centre with the promise that they will be more than just another high street employment agency.
C&D, which celebrates its 20th anniversary next year, describes the move as providing dedicated walk-in centres for candidates serious about securing temporary and part-time employment with some of the UK’s top employers.
Manager Greig Evenett, who has 15 years’ experience in recruitment, is delighted at the intensified focus on the candidate that the newly introduced recruitment centre structure offers.
He said: “The candidate experience is a vital first step in recruiting. While everybody in recruitment talks about this, our recruitment centres will be specifically working to make the candidate experience a meaningful and productive one.
“For instance, one of the first things we will be doing is opening for business every Saturday to enable candidates who cannot visit during the week, to come in to talk to our specialist recruiters in person.”
C&D CEO Karen Davison, who launched the business in Swindon in 1996, added: “We confidently provide a candidate experience second to none thanks to the outstanding calibre of our specialist recruiters.
“Quality training at C&D by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has been significantly increased on the back of recent research that clearly demonstrates candidates’ motivation improves when their recruitment experience is positive.
“Added to that, we recruit for some of the top employers in the UK and they understand and support our focus on what good recruitment looks like.”
C&D recently relocated its town centre office from Regent Circus across Commercial Road to the new premises on the corner of Havelock Street.
It also recently moved its specialist recruitment divisions, payroll service and head office to a self-contained executive complex at Copse Farm at South Marston Park and is opening a London Recruitment Centre in Mayfair to continue to build on its successful partnerships in the capital.
The firm – a generalist recruitment company offering permanent, temporary and contract placements in a range of business sectors – also has offices in Birmingham and Dunstable, Bedfordshire. It employs more than 25 permanent consultants and has plans to take on more recruitment professionals in the near future.
Its blue-chip clients are spread across South West, London and the Midlands. Its Swindon clients include Honda, Forward Swindon, Nationwide, WH Smith, Argos, TS Tech, Microlights and Johnson Matthey.
Its sector specialist recruitment divisions work in the technical, engineering, rail, automotive and IT markets.
