Innovative handmade furniture and shelving firm BespOak Interiors has relocated its workshop from Cirencester to a unit on the Lakeside Business Park in South Cerney as it continues to expand.

BespOak Interiors was founded in September last year by insulation engineer Daniel Lee after friends and family encouraged him to turn his hobby into a business.

Daniel designs and builds solid oak furniture and shelving, including the firm’s trademark shelves, which look like growing trees.

BespOak Interiors impressed the judges at this year’s Cirencester Business Awards, which are staged by the town’s Chamber of Commerce, and Daniel walked away with the title of Business Innovation of the Year.

The move to Unit C9 on Lakeside Business Park is to trigger further expansion.

The mixed-use business park was developed during the mid-2000s and is now home to a range of local and national occupiers. Unit C9 is a mid-terraced, 1,580 sq ft industrial unit with roller shutter access and a mezzanine first floor in a secure yard. BespOak has signed a three-year lease.

Martin Baker of property agency Alder King’s Swindon office, which is jointly marketing the business park with WBM Property, said: “We are delighted to welcome BespOak Interiors to Lakeside Business Park. We are confident that the property will be a good fit for them and allow them scope to expand their business.”

He said interest in the remaining units was strong, with one under offer.
