Swindon logistics firm UK Shuttle has announced ambitious plans to move to larger premises in the town early next year and double in size over the next three.
The 25-year-old firm, which employs 40 people and operates a fleet of 26 vehicles, has achieved 20% growth in volume and turnover in the past year.
To coincide with its expansion plans it has become the latest member of the expanding national Pallet-Track network.
UK Shuttle, which provides vehicles for services spanning parcel to pallet deliveries, storage and distribution, from its base on the Europa Business Park, will operate in parts of the SN & RG (Reading) postcodes on behalf of Pallet-Track.
Joning the national distribution network will give UK Shuttle a greater reach and help lower its costs as well as reducing the impact on its carbon footprint of empty running vehicles.
UK Shuttle chairman Syed Ziaullah said: “Joining the Pallet-Track network in Swindon complements my other depot in Northampton, which is a founder member depot. UK Shuttle is the eighth new UK member to sign up to Pallet-Track this year.
