Swindon-based marketing communications agency Lundie Marketing has designed and implemented a major recruitment campaign for the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF).
Lundie, which has been working with the BMF since 2005, was called in to run a campaign for its national youth recruitment campaign, Builders Merchant Careers, across a range of platforms including print and digital media.
Builders Merchant Careers aims to make students, teachers and career advisors aware of the diverse career opportunities offered by the industry and to promote merchanting as an exciting career choice.
The BMF commissioned Lundie Marketing to design and produce posters, brochures and e-marketing materials as well as a dedicated website, Facebook page and Twitter feed to support the campaign.
BMF managing director John Newcomb said: “This is one of the most exciting and important initiatives that the BMF has ever launched as young, talented people are absolutely vital if our industry is going to thrive and develop in the future.”
Lundie, based on the South Marston Business Park, created a website that is engaging and informative to careers advisors and students.
It contains short video clips from people at all levels in the industry talking about their jobs and what they get out of it and gives details of the range of posts available in the industry, as well as apprenticeships, job vacancies and forthcoming recruitment events.
Lundie used advanced programming integrated with the latest web technologies to build a website that is cross-platform compatible – adapting to mobile, tablet and web browsers.
On-page Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a key feature and has been enhanced through link building to and from the BMF Merchant Careers website from BMF member companies such as Jewson, Saint-Gobain and Wolseley.
Lundie is now also providing ongoing SEO and web management services, including website analytics, social media integration and maintenance and regular content review and improvement.
Lundie, launched in 1992, offers a range of marketing services spanning website design, SEO, email marketing, print design and direct marketing. Its clients include Wiltshire distribution firm Watson Petroleum, Swindon fire door manufacturer Vicaima and Swindon-based pharmaceutical packaging specialist Wasdell.
