Infinite Group, the Swindon-based field marketing agency, is expanding with the appointment of a new apprentice.

Sam Latham, 21, pictured, is the sixth apprentice to join Infinite in three years. He has been taken on as a business support advisor with responsibility for administrative support for the field teams.

Sam has joined after working as a food and beverage assistant at the Four Pillars Hotel in the Cotswold Water Park and studying for a Business Studies and HR qualification at New College.

He applied for a role at Infinite after speaking with former apprentice Kieran Fitchett, who trained in the firm’s recruitment and HR departments before becoming a full-time employee in the tactical team. Kieran, who is a tactical consultant, was full of praise for the company.

Sam said: “Kieran told me how the culture and training provided at Infinite gives you the confidence to use your own initiative with the support of your colleagues.

“It is also great to see how, with hard work there’s a clear career route to possibly gain a full-time post.”

Sam is being mentored by another former apprentice Josh Vinten, who now works full time in the business support team.

Josh said: “Infinite has given me a wonderful opportunity to complete my apprenticeship and has helped massively with my confidence and skills in working with clients and field teams”

“Sam has been given the same opportunity and is already learning about our business, his enthusiasm and passion to learn is infectious”

At the same time that Sam joined Infinite Group, another former apprentice Ryan Boorman, was promoted to a full-time recruitment consultant.

Ryan, 19, who is working towards an NVQ Level 2 in business administration, is now responsible for building field marketing teams for Sony.

“To be given the opportunity to work full-time after completing my apprenticeship is absolutely brilliant,” he said.

“It was a goal that I set out for myself when I first started at the company and to have achieved that goal is a fantastic personal achievement for me.

“Infinite is a great place to work and gives a lot of young people the opportunity to get started in the world of work and I am excited for what the future holds working for this excellent organisation.”

Infinite works with major brands in areas such as merchandising, auditing and compliance, experiential marketing, mystery shopping and on-site training.

It recently helped TomTom launched its latest exercise watches with an experiential event bringing together exercise and music at London’s Ministry of Sound.

Infinite Group staff promoted the event to all major retailers to ensure an attendance of more than 400 guests, representing major stores from the UK, US, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Germany.
