Royal Wootton Bassett-based membership organisation Business Scene, which supports thousands of small and medium-sized firms across the UK, has launched a new structure.
Established in 2006 by entrepreneur and business speaker Warren Cass, Business Scene is adopting its new look to enable more businesses to get involved.
Warren said: “We’re evolving as an organisation and we’re practicing what we preach. All businesses need to prepare for the future and we’re no different here at Business Scene.”
Previously, the organisation had charged a single membership fee in return for benefits and access to a handful of events locally and nationally.
It will now be offering a broader range of packages and a greater variety of events will be open to members but organised by regional business partners.
Warren added: “This new structure is designed to save money, support and protect the businesses and brands who are part of the Business Scene community. At the higher levels we’ll offer training, enabling members to develop their skills alongside those of their team.”
Three levels of Business Scene membership have also been introduce – Advantage, Advantage + and Academy.
Advantage offers exclusive deals to save money, including guaranteed best price on payment services, free access to sales data and mobile ready websites.
Advantage + also offers 24/7 legal advice with legal expenses up to £100,000, a debt recovery service and tax investigation protection.
Academy includes access to training, personal development and coaching on sales and marketing, networking and business development.
Dave Plunkett, a director of Business Scene since 2012, said: “As our network has grown and the benefits to our members have increased, it’s become clear it’s time to change our membership offering.
“Currently we have thousands of members across the UK. From this month, new members can choose what package works best for them.
“Existing members will automatically be given the highest level of membership as a thank-you for being part of Business Scene. As long as their membership doesn’t lapse that offer will continue for as long as they remain part of the community.”
