Rematch for Swindon recruitment firm’s youth football sponsorship

Swindon recruitment company Field has extended its sponsorship of a youth football team in the town by providing its kit for the new season.

Last year Field funded the strip for the newly formed Lydiard Millicent Junior Greens Under 8s. Now the children are a year older and have become the Lydiard Millicent Junior Greens Under 9s – and Field has again stepped in to provide new kits for the 12 players while their old strip has been passed down to the new Under 8s team.

Team coach Richard Vine said Field’s support was a huge help. “The support from Field has been absolutely amazing, because we don’t have cash to spare for a strip and without this kind of sponsorship we’d have to ask the parents for even more help.”

Field managing director Andrew Careswell said he had been impressed with the commitment of the children last year and wanted to help further.

“It’s our way of giving something back to the community,” he said. “And you never know, we could be sponsoring the next David Beckham.”

Field will once again be taking an active interest in both teams, using its social media to publicise the fixtures, deliver match reports and also post interviews with the players.

Field Recruitment, which has been supplying permanent and temporary staff since 1974, has two offices in Commercial Road.
