Each week Swindon Business News gives a prominent member of the area’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week Karen Davison, managing director of recruitment firm C&D Group, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? Insurgent

Book you read? A Near Life Experience by Steve Head

Music you bought? Ellie Goulding

Concert you went to? Spandau Ballet

Sporting event you attended? Wimbledon

Holiday you went on? Cyprus

Restaurant you ate in? Frankie & Benny's

Thing that annoyed you? Poor communication from a well-known residential property developer that resulted in me losing my dream home recently.

Thing that made you laugh out loud? My seven-month-old daughter Elle blowing raspberries at me.

Piece of good advice you were given? Lots of people said no to The Beatles. So keep trying until someone recognises your talent.

Born in Old Town’s Victoria Hospital, Swindon is where Karen Davison’s heart is and why she started her recruitment business C&D Group here nearly 20 years ago. A love of netball means hoping to play on for years and encouraging new players to join Moredon Netball Club. Aside from her busy family life and being managing director at C&D Group, she is a non-executive director on the REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) council.
