Swindon-based recruitment firm C&D Group is expanding its presence in its home town and opening a base in London ahead of its 20th anniversary next year.
The firm, founded in 1996 by managing director Karen Davison, is relocating its town centre office from Regent Circus across Commercial Road to newly refitted premises on the corner of Havelock Street.
Meanwhile its specialist recruitment divisions, payroll service and head office will be relocating to a self-contained executive complex at Copse Farm at South Marston Park.
And it has also secured office space in Berkeley Street, Mayfair, for its London Recruitment Centre to continue to build on its successful partnerships in the capital. The moves will take place from October 1.
The firm – a generalist recruitment company offering permanent, temporary and contract placements in a range of business sectors – also has offices in Birmingham and Dunstable, Bedfordshire. It employs more than 25 permanent consultants and has plans to take on more recruitment professionals in the near future.
Its blue-chip clients are spread across South West, London and the Midlands and in Swindon they read like a who’s who of the town’s top business, including Honda, Forward Swindon, Nationwide, WH Smith, Argos, TS Tech, Microlights and Johnson Matthey.
Its sector specialist recruitment divisions work in the technical, engineering, rail, automotive and IT markets.
Karen Davison, pictured, said the business had grown year on year, with exceptional growth in the past three. The new moves would give candidates multiple ways to apply for roles.
“They have a choice of coming into our central C&D Recruitment Centre, booking an appointment, attending a C&D/client career day or registering and applying online,” she said. Following feedback from candidates, the offices will also open on Saturdays.
C&D’s client base spans international blue chip clients as well as micro-businesses in the South West, London and Midlands areas.
C&D service delivery director Lee Marner added: “The exceptional growth that has triggered the move has been as a result of continued innovation around service offerings, hard work and commitment from the whole of the C&D team.
“This has led to existing and new clients offering greater job opportunities for candidates across Swindon, Wiltshire and throughout our diverse UK client base.”
In June Karen Davison was appointed to industry body the Recruitment and Employment Confederation’s (REC) council – one of six new members elected at the organisation’s Annual General Meeting and one of four non-executive directors.
The REC is committed to raising standards and highlighting excellence throughout the recruitment industry.
