Swindon bookings agency Venues and Events has agreed six more strategic partnerships to expand its specialist services.
The move takes to seven the firm’s joint ventures and means it can now offer, via these partners, services spanning a range of indoor and outdoor team building activities, parties, virtual events and webcasting and travel management along with production, management and lighting entertainment and catering.
Venues and Events, which was set up earlier this year by respected industry figure Anita Lowe earlier with investment from Thames Valley Capital, set up its first agreement in May with design and technology agency Creative Example to offer conference and exhibitions stand design.
The six new partners are West Sussex-based human resources training firm Ignite, North Yorkshire virtual events and webcasting firm iVent and Surrey-based sister companies Best Parties Ever and ieLive as well as a team events company and a leading business travel company – neither of which have been named.
Ignite managing director Crispin Spalding said: “In the context of a busy business world where it’s difficult to get people out to a training venue, it’s better if I can integrate my services and expertise into existing conferences, workshops and event programmes as a value-add to wider team building and content programmes.
“This is what Ignite will be doing with Venues & Events and I’m delighted to be a part of the family.”

Anita Lowe formed her first company Venues Unlimited in 1989 with husband Chris from their home, building it into one of the UK’s leading event management, conference placement, venue finding and accommodation sourcing companies.
