Wiltshire recruitment firm CMD has opened an office in Melksham as it continues to expand its services across Wiltshire and into Bath.
The firm, which already has offices in Devizes and Calne, has moved into a 1,700 sq ft office on Melksham’s Bowerhill Industrial Estate. It is now seeking six recruitment consultants to work from the new base.
The privately-owned firm was established 10 years ago by managing director Tim Barfoot, who now runs it with operations manager Dan Barfoot.
Dan Barfoot said: “The search for candidates in the current market is becoming increasingly challenging for employers with a shortage of unskilled labour, and the need for an immediate workforce.
“Our new premises will increase our presence in the market place and enable us to expand our catch pool for new candidates by penetrating the South Wiltshire and the Bath areas.”
Melksham and Trowbridge-based property agents Kavanaghs Commercial handled the letting on behalf of private client Rigg Construction.
Associate director Alison Williams said: “The offices are perfectly placed for CMD Recruitment being situated in the centre of the estate with a prominent roadside location.
“As well as the ability to serve the immediate needs of the Bowerhill Industrial Estate, they are well placed for the Bath and North and South Wiltshire markets.”
CMD has taken the property – unit 4 at Lancaster House – on a three-year lease.
