Swindon holiday firm Imagine Cruising is to co-sponsor the popular Ladies’ Day fixture at Bath Racecourse – one of the biggest events of its season which attracts more than 6,000 race goers.
Imagine Cruising, one of the UK’s leading cruise businesses, has teamed up with US-based five-star cruise operator Holland America Line to jointly sponsor the fixture on Saturday August 22. The two firms work in partnership to provide world-class holidays.
Imagine Cruising managing director Robin Deller said: “We’re really looking forward to Ladies Day as it’s also going to be our company summer party – it’s a chance for us to reward our staff with a really great day out.
“We’re particularly looking forward to getting involved with the event by selecting the best turned out horses, naming the races and handing out the winners’ trophies. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Lynn Narraway from Holland America Line, added: “What a great way to celebrate our partnership with Imagine Cruising at this prestigious and fun Ladies Day racing event.”
Imagine Cruising, based on Swindon’s Lydiard Fields Business Park, specialises in bespoke rail and international cruise-and-stay holidays, working with major cruise operators such as Cunard and P&O Cruises, luxury rail operator Orient Express and international four and five-star hotels.
The firm, which employs more than 70 people in the UK and a further 40-plus in South Africa, is the main shirt sponsor of Swindon Town FC, having signed a two-year deal with the League One side last summer. In March Middle East travel group Dnata Travel acquired 51% of Imagine.
Bath Racecourse executive director Jo Hall said: “We are really thrilled to welcome these two prestigious companies on board for our Ladies’ Day fixture.
“It is a hugely popular day and we expect to sell out our hospitality packages again this year. We will have lots of new packages and of course nautical themes and promotions planned to link in with our new sponsors. More will be revealed nearer the time.”
Hospitality packages begin at £57 with the ‘hamper pamper’ package and tickets to the Grandstand can be bought in advance at www.bath-racecourse.co.uk.
