Professionals involved in the horse breeding and racing industries are invited to a seminar in Swindon next week to find out about the latest tax changes affecting them.
The free event on Wednesday, May 20, is being organised by Banks BHG at its base in Ermin Street, Stratton, and will focus on the tax mitigation opportunities available for racehorse owners and breeders, with information about the implications for income tax, inheritance tax and VAT. It runs from 5.45pm to 7.30pm and will be followed by a light buffet.
Banks BHG has extensive experience of supporting horseracing breeders, trainers and owners.
Director Bernard Harrington said: “Many industries have unique features but few present as many problems and opportunities as those of equestrianism, bloodstock and racing.
“We are one of the country’s leading specialist advisers to the bloodstock industry, acting for people operating both public and private stud farms. Our advice has helped produce tax refunds which are especially helpful in the early years of every bloodstock breeding business.”
