Around 800 people gained an insight into Swindon's vibrant economy and go-ahead firms at the town's fifth annual Business Show on Thursday.
The event, staged by Business West at the town’s STEAM museum, proved successful for the 80 exhibitors, who included law firm Thrings, HSBC, Bristol Airport, Center Parcs and Forward Swindon.
Adventurer and inspirational speaker Monty Halls kept his audience enthralled with an anecdote-packed and joke-laced keynote presentation (click here for story), while award-winning recruiter and employer branding extraordinaire Mark Bevans spoke about Appeal, Reputation and Success in his seminar and Ben Simmonds from cxpartners, a consultancy applying research and psychology to website design, gave a brief tour of website psychology.
Delegates could also join in speed networking, hear about exporting opportunities and relax and recharge themselves – and their electronic devices – in the Click and Connect Lounge while holding informal meetings, networking, bloging and tweeting.
