Electrical contractor Abbey Electrical is to relocate to a larger base on the Shrivenham Hundred Business Park as it continues to expand.

The 10-year-old firm, previously based in nearby Watchfield, has secured the long leasehold sale of Unit 58 on the popular business park through the Swindon office of property consultants Alder King.

The 2,315 sq ft mid-terraced unit – which had a guide price of £205,000 – has meeting and workshop space on the ground floor with offices on the first. It also has eight parking spaces.

Martin Baker of Alder King’s Swindon office said: “We received strong interest in this unit.  It was in good condition internally and externally and it benefits from local facilities and amenities within walking distance.

“The calibre of the unit meant we were able to secure the disposal on behalf of our clients within six weeks of bringing it to the market.”

Alder King acted for Standard Life and private clients. Abbey Electrical was unrepresented.
