Swindon recruitment firm Field is teaming up with employment law and health and safety specialist Peninsula to stage a free event for employers to help them get to grips with new compulsory workplace changes.
The event, at Swindon’s Jurys Hotel on April 23, will look at auto-enrolment, which requires employers to register all qualifying staff in a workplace pension and will soon to affect smaller firms, along with changes to employment law, including shared parental, leave; measures to prevent long-term staff sickness; risk assessment, and fire safety awareness; and new rulings affecting overtime and holiday pay.
There will also be an opportunity for networking.
Field Recruitment business services manager Andy Wright said: “We’ll be inviting our clients to this event, all of whom are employers, as many are likely to be looking for more information about the forthcoming changes in employment law and health and safety due in 2015.
“Equally, we’re placing candidates in permanent roles where they will then become entitled to be auto-enrolled in a pension, so it’s useful for us to know more. And, of course, Field is also an employer.”
Nicola Whiteside, business development manager at Manchester-based Peninsula, added: “We are delighted to be working with Field Recruitment. Peninsula already support Field Recruitment with their own employment law and health and safety obligations and during the event business owners will have the opportunity to gain insight into the impact of legislation changes due this year plus important and pragmatic employment law advice.”
The seminar starts at 9.30am and runs until 12.45pm. To book, contact Andy Wright on 01793 777502 or email andy.wright@fieldrecruitment.co.uk.
