Swindon-based specialist recruitment firm Outsource UK has appointed the former managing director of the UK’s second-largest staffing business as its chief operating officer.
Nick Dettmar, pictured, joins from Impellam Group, which operates across the UK, North America, Asia Pacific and mainland Europe. 
He has 20 years’ experience in the recruitment industry with extensive expertise and knowledge of the IT and engineering recruitment sectors. Before joining Impellam in 2010 he was managing director of Adecco UK & Ireland’s professional staffing brands.
He will be responsible for accelerating sales growth across the business as Outsource continues to pursue ambitious expansion plans.
The firm, which specialises in supplying contract and permanent IT and engineering staff, has expanded in recent years to open offices in the Midlands, Manchester and London. It now employs around 60 people and has an annual turnover in excess of £40m.
Nick Dettmar will report to Outsource founder and chief executive Paul Jameson, who described the appointment was a vote of confidence in Outsource.
