A breakfast meeting to celebrate apprenticeships in the Swindon area and demonstrate how they can boost business is being held later this month.
Employers will have the opportunity at the event to learn about how apprenticeships can help their organisation. They can also find out more about progression opportunities onto higher level apprenticeships to support their higher level skills needs and hear about the Government’s apprenticeship reform programme.
The event, at UTC Swindon, Bristol Street, on February 24, is being staged by Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SWLEP), the Skills Funding Agency and GWP, the network of training providers across Swindon, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
The breakfast is relevant for employers that have not recruited an apprentice before as well as firms that employ apprentices as part of their overall recruitment strategy and are looking at further apprenticeship opportunities.
The programme will include an update on the proposed Government apprenticeship reforms, and presentations from an employer apprenticeship ambassador, an apprentice, and on higher apprenticeships.
The event is from 7am-9.30am.
