National logistics group Howard Tenens, which has its largest base in Swindon, has won a major contract from STIHL GB to store and distribute its ride-on mowers to its dealer network.
Howard Tenens, which owns more than 3m sq ft of warehouse space across the UK along with a national distribution network, secured the contract based on its scalability and proactive attitude. It will run the contract out of its 25-acre Stratton, Swindon, base.
Howard Tenens national sales manager Shaun Wilson said: “It is a great privilege to work in partnership with such a prestigious brand as STIHL GB.
“Our businesses have very similar values, with a commitment to reliability, innovation and partnership. We look forward to developing and expanding the relationship with STIHL GB in the coming years”.
STIHL GB demand planning manager Rob Follett added: “Due to continued sales growth STIHL GB needed to find a storage and transport solution for the delivery of our ride-on lawn tractors into our nationwide dealer network. After a detailed review process Howard Tenens were selected as our partner, bringing together the two family-owned companies.”
