Swindon-based independent public relations consultancy redheadPR has become a member of GIMA, the Garden Industry Manufacturers’ Association.

Redheadpr has worked with many leading brands in the gardening sector including Anthony Tesselaar International, raingardenkits.co.uk, John Woods Nurseries, grow-your-own specialist Stewart Garden and gardening broadcaster and writer Pippa Greenwood, who supported the Stewart Garden Schools campaign.

The agency has also worked with Briers, the design-led gardening products specialist, and most recently Kelkay, the market-leading manufacturer and distributor of aggregates.

GIMA supports manufacturers who supply garden and home product to leading retailers. Its 100-plus member companies represent the major share of all the key sectors in the market excluding green goods. Their combined total turnover at retail selling level is nearly £1.5bn.

RedheadPR founder and managing director Sara Tye, pictured, said: “We chose to become a member of GIMA because we have worked with many clients within the gardening and horticulture industry for many years.

“We truly understand this market and believe it’s now time to be a GIMA associate. Our expert knowledge of the sector allows us to provide a first-class, all-encompassing public relations and digital services.

“GIMA is a progressive association. It’ll be fantastic to share our expertise of the industry, whilst absorbing the wealth of knowledge from fellow members and GIMA.”

GIMA director Vicky Nuttall added: “I’m delighted that redheadPR has decided to become one of our expanding team of GIMA Associate Members. Their knowledge of the gardening industry will help many of our members and further reinforces the integrity of the GIMA membership and our supporting services.”

Stewart Garden sales director Nigel Thompson said redheadPR was the ideal PR member for GIMA.

“Sara Tye and the team at redheadPR have a tremendous track record and years of experience working in the gardening industry,” he said.

“Their knowledge of the industry is second to none, coupled with sheer passion, determination and quality of work. redheadPR becoming a member of GIMA is the perfect fit.”

RedheadPR manages the reputations of start-ups, corporates, not for profits and individuals. The agency uses cutting-edge online PR and marketing techniques as well as tried and tested traditional methods.
