World-leading communications firm Spirent has opened its newest UK site in Swindon, taking space at Rombourne Serviced Offices’ Kingston House at Lydiard Fields.

Crawley-based Spirent is a global pioneer in communication systems consultancy, testing, analysis and implementation – its lab tests are used to evaluate performance of the latest technologies. It is quoted on the London Stock Exchange and has 1,200 customers worldwide.

The firm has a number of sites around the UK but chose Rombourne in Swindon as the base for the latest stage of its expansion. It has now moved its team into three offices at Kingston House.

The centre was officially opened by the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Sarah Rose Troughton in May following extensive refurbishment by Rombourne. The 17,000 sq ft building offers up to 190 workstations in a range of three to 25-person offices.

Rombourne Swindon manager Tom Endacott said: “Spirent is a hugely-successful global company and we’re absolutely delighted that out of all the office accommodation available in Swindon, they chose Kingston House.”

Rombourne’s refurbishment of Kingston House included contemporary interior design, furnishings and decor. The building is rated as BREEAM ‘very good’ and is fully air conditioned.

It also has high-speed fibre internet access which Rombourne has capitalised on by installing the very latest Cisco-powered, self-healing network so that tenants like Spirent have ultra-fast, reliable IT.

“We’ve been in business since 1973, and over that time we’ve learnt exactly what companies need from a serviced office provider,” added Mr Endacott. “As a result, we take care of everything to do with the office, so that our customers are free to focus on their businesses.

“I think that the success of this customer-driven ethos is borne out by the fact that Spirent chose one of our centres as the location for their newest UK branch.”
