Hobsons Choice, the Swindon-based luxury kitchen and bathroom design and installation company, has expanded across the South of England after taking over a firm in Winchester.
The acquisition of kitchen dealer Stewart Carr Design supports Hobsons Choice’s vision to become the first choice for the design and installation German-made Bulthaup kitchens in the region.
Hobsons Choice owner and managing director Richard Carter said the Winchester showroom and its experienced design team would help accelerate growth and secure the firm as a key independent Bulthaup retailer in the South of England.
“I have always admired Stewart Carr’s ethos and the way he conducts his kitchen design and installation business,” he said. “It is very similar to the way Hobsons Choice approach design, with the focus on the customer, attention to detail and an exceptional level of customer service.
“The new Winchester Bulthaup showroom means we are ideally placed to service clients along the South Coast, Channel Islands and Surrey and Sussex.”
Hobsons Choice was launched in 1977 and acquitted by Richard Carter in 2007. It opened a showroom in Bath in 2012.
The privately-owned company specialises in designing and installing kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living spaces.
