Swindon firms will get the chance to learn about new opportunities, network and attend workshops next month when the Building Business Connections Forum takes place in the town.

The forum has been created to provide business owners and decision makers with an opportunity to meet new suppliers and network with Swindon’s growing business community. It is sponsored by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

The free business event, part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, takes place on Thursday November 20 at the Best Western Plus Blunsdon House Hotel.

Keynote speaker will be BBC's The Apprentice 2013 finalist Neil Clough, who has now built his own successful sales training and recruitment business.

There are also workshops on loan applications, crowdfunding, intellectual property and tips for small business owners.

The event will be opened by Mayor of Swindon Cllr Teresa Page and speakers will include Rob Guy of Outset Finance, who will explain what his organisation looks for in a loan application, and Rhona Jack of Swindon firm The PR Catalyst and FSB committee member who will give top 10 tips for small business owners.
