IT services firm Sensata, which earlier this year relocated from Swindon to Royal Wootton Bassett, is cementing its links in its new home town by becoming the headline sponsor for the Royal Wootton Bassett Remembrance Charity Ball.
The ball, organised by the Rotary Club of Royal Wootton Bassett Town, is at The Wiltshire Hotel on November 7.
All proceeds will go to the Armed Forces charity SSAFA Wilts, which provides lifelong support to service personnel past and present and their families.
Sensata technical director Chris Griffin said: “Having recently relocated the business to Royal Wootton Bassett and given the centenary marking of the start of the First World War this year, the significant part the town played for the repatriations of our fallen troops in recent conflicts and also Remembrance Sunday coming up, we are extremely proud to be involved and supporting this very worthy cause.”
Rotary Club president Ceri Pridding added: “We are delighted to welcome Sensata as headline sponsor and cannot thank them enough for their generous sponsorship.
“This will increase the total amount we want to raise for SSAFA Wilts on the evening. It is fantastic to have the support of a local company who earlier this year moved into the town and they have fully embraced what we want to achieve.”
Sensata IT, a Microsoft partner, provides IT support and services to small and medium-sized businesses in Swindon, across Wiltshire and along the M4 corridor. It works as an outsourced provider or with companies where there is an existing IT department.
Tickets for the ball are available for £35 each from Ceri Pridding on 01793 854136 or email rwbrotaryevents@gmail.com
